Daejeon Hana Citizen has signed midfielder Kim Bong-soo.

Kim Bong-soo is from Daegu Vocational High School and Gwangju University and joined Jeju SK FC as a professional player before the 2021 season.

He achieved 5 goals and 2 assists in 96 matches in the K League 1 over three years (2021-2023) in Jeju, contributing significantly to the team's fourth-place finish by being a key player from his first year.

He made his K League 1 debut as a starter in the home game against Gangwon FC in Round 8 and scored the team's equalizer and his debut goal in the home game against FC Seoul in Round 11.

After the 2023 season, he enlisted in Gimcheon Sangmu and played 53 matches with 3 assists while with Gimcheon Sangmu (2024-2025.06).

At Gimcheon Sangmu, he performed as a key player from his first year, utilized not only in his main position as a midfielder but also as a center-back.

He contributed to victories in Rounds 4 and 7 of the 2024 season, earning recognition as the best 11 center-back of the round and being nominated among the 44 candidates for the 'fan eleven' in the match against 'K League vs. Tottenham Hotspur,' leading to his first selection for the A national team in the Asian third round of qualifying for the World Cup in North and Central America in November 2024.

With the acquisition of all-round midfielder Kim Bong-soo, Daejeon has built a top-tier three-line squad alongside players such as Lee Soon-min and Bob Shin.

The acquisition of Kim Bong-soo, who has an active presence in midfield and excellent ball competition ability, is expected to play a significant role in maintaining the team's position in the upper ranks.
