The Korea Lacrosse Association successfully hosted the U-19 tournament of the 2025 Youth Club League over three days from May 31 to June 1 and June 7.
This tournament was conducted with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and operated for a total of three days, including men's and women's qualifiers and playoffs. About 500 youth players from various regions across the country participated, demonstrating the potential for the growth of club-based lacrosse through active exchanges and competitive experiences.
In the men's division, Hanmin High School won the championship after a fierce contest, followed by Incheon POSCO High School (runner-up), Minjok Leadership Academy (third), and Yongin University High School (fourth). Additionally, Gyeonggi High School of Arts (fifth), SJA Jeju (sixth), Chungnam Samsung High School (seventh), and Haneul High School (eighth) recorded their rankings.
In the women's division, Gyeonggi Foreign Language High School took the top spot, followed by Yongin University High School (runner-up), Chungnam Samsung High School (third), and Incheon POSCO High School (fourth). Additionally, Saint Paul Seoul (fifth), Minjok Leadership Academy (sixth), and Haneul High School (seventh) made the rankings.
Additionally, an event booth organized by the Korea Lacrosse Association supporters was operated, enriching the atmosphere. Participants learned about their lacrosse play styles through the 'Lacrosse MBTI' test, and after the games, they had the opportunity to interview the MVPs of each match through the 'Laclog' corner, engaging with the players.
The Korea Lacrosse Association noted, "This tournament was a starting point for forming a lacrosse culture through the league, beyond mere game operations," and added, "We will continue to promote sustainable league operations along with an expansion of U-16 and U-14 age-specific leagues and activities to strengthen the youth base."
Meanwhile, the U-16 tournament is scheduled to take place on July 5 at the Team Up Campus in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, and preparations are underway for the U-14 tournament, aimed for July.
