LG Twins pitcher Jung Woo-young recorded his first multi-inning appearance in the Futures League, maintaining a scoreless game.

On the 7th, Jung Woo-young came in as a relief pitcher in the game against the SSG Landers in the 2025 Futures League at Icheon LG Champions Park, pitching 1⅔ innings with 1 hit, no walks, and no runs.

Jung Woo-young took the mound following Jo Gwon-hee in the 5th inning, with 1 out and runners on first base, as the score tightened from 5-1 to 5-4. Jo Gwon-hee was replaced after allowing a two-run double to Ha Jae-hoon and an RBI single to Lee Jeong-beom with 1 out and runners on first and second.

Jung Woo-young made an easy end to the inning after getting the first batter, Hyeon Won-hwi, to ground out to the pitcher, resulting in a double play from second to first base.

Jung Woo-young, who came in for the 6th inning, struck out the first batter, Im Geun-woo, with a three-pitch strikeout. Strike - foul - and a swinging strikeout. Pinch hitter Kim Kyu-min was out on a ground ball to the second baseman on a 2-ball count.

Ahead of this season's spring training, he worked on personal training in the U.S. at Tread Athletic, trying to regain the pitching form and two-seam speed he had when he was performing well. He still struggled with control during exhibition games and began the season in the Futures League.

In his first two games in the Futures League, he was underwhelming, pitching 1⅔ innings and allowing 3 hits, 3 walks, and 6 runs (2 earned). He spent the next two months focusing on fundamental training and restoring his pitching balance.

On May 30, he pitched 1 inning, allowing 1 hit and no earned runs against the Doosan Bears. On the 3rd, he recorded 0⅔ innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 walk, and 1 unearned run against the Goyang Heroes. He has been pitching with intervals of three days of rest, and on the 7th against SSG, he pitched 1⅔ innings with 1 hit, no walks, and no runs, as his performance continues to improve. His fastball consistently reached a top speed of 147 km/h. His season earned run average has decreased from 18.00 in his first appearance to 3.60.
