Reports have emerged that Son Heung-min (33, Tottenham) may once again head to Saudi Arabia. There are also observations that the club's top brass could make a decision that surpasses the coach's intentions if a 'very high amount of offer' comes in.

The British outlet 'Football Insider' reported exclusively on the 10th (Korea time) that "Tottenham Hotspur could accept a 'very high' transfer offer for captain Son Heung-min, regardless of the thoughts of new manager Thomas Frank (52)." Although Tottenham has not yet officially announced the hiring of Coach Frank, many local media outlets are indicating that his move to Tottenham is virtually confirmed.

Despite this situation, Son Heung-min is once again emerging as a target for Saudi Pro League clubs. Tottenham activated a one-year extension option earlier this year, extending Son Heung-min's contract until the 2025-2026 season. Officially, there are 12 months left until the contract expires.

'Football Insider' reported that "if a large sum proposal for Son Heung-min comes in, Tottenham's top brass could go against Coach Frank's wishes and make a decision." Although Coach Frank prefers Son Heung-min's stay, the club needs to secure transfer funds for a new leader.

Son Heung-min has rejected interest from Saudi clubs several times, but there is an analysis that he may be sacrificed this summer based on the club's strategy.

This season, Son Heung-min has participated in 46 matches across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 12 assists. Notably, in last month's UEFA Europa League final, he captained the team to a 1-0 victory, lifting the first trophy of his Tottenham career.

Son Heung-min, who joined Tottenham in 2015 after a stint with Bayer 04 Leverkusen, is now in his 10th season with the team. He has recorded 173 goals in 454 matches for Tottenham so far, and in the 2021-2022 season, he achieved a personal best of 24 goals and 10 assists in 45 matches.

Meanwhile, Tottenham is also making moves to restructure its squad. 'Football Insider' reported the same day that "Tottenham is interested in acquiring Southampton's England U-21 representative Tyler Dibling, but does not plan to meet the reported transfer fee of £55 million (approximately 101.2 billion won)."

Due to Southampton's relegation to the Championship, Dibling is in a strong position to transfer this summer. 'Football Insider' added that "currently, the acquisition race for Dibling is open, and Liverpool is showing strong interest."
