Thomas Tuchel (52), the England national team manager, left a realistic warning to captain Harry Kane (32, Bayern Munich) that he cannot play as long as Cristiano Ronaldo (40, Al Nassr).

Kane will turn 33 after the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup. He has expressed a desire to continue his career into his late 30s like the Portuguese star Ronaldo. Kane scored his 450th career goal with a decisive goal against Andorra.

However, according to Britain's 'Mirror' on the 10th (Korean time), Manager Tuchel emphasized at a press conference that "football is becoming increasingly difficult these days," noting that the next year will be crucial for Kane's physical condition and long-term goals.

Manager Tuchel argued that "it is becoming increasingly difficult to play for a long time in modern football," adding that "Ronaldo moved to a league with less competition than the Premier League or Spain to maintain his performance. He has always been an exceptional case. Just because he can play until 39 or 40 doesn’t mean every player can do the same."

He continued, "We are now in an era where you must be professional in order to survive. Harry has a natural talent for scoring goals," stating, "The goal he scored against Andorra was very decisive and important. As of now, there seems to be no reason why he cannot maintain top-level performance. However, it cannot be guaranteed how long he can maintain that state. We will have to wait and see."

He also added, "Kane is currently playing for a strong team, and that environment could suit him well," noting, "Looking ahead to the World Cup, it will be a crucial time for his stamina and maintenance of performance. He will have to play in hot weather and high humidity."

Despite this, Manager Tuchel explained that there is no particular need to worry about Kane's age or the heat during next year's World Cup. He cautiously stated, "I have no worries about Kane at all. However, one must consider that reactions to the heat can vary with age."
