Choi Chang-jin (KT) successfully renewed his contract with his original team.
The Korean Basketball League (KBL) announced on the 9th the results of the negotiations for the 2025 free agents. Among the total of 24 players, only Choi Chang-jin signed a one-year contract with KT. The total aggregates amount is 60 million won.
Choi Chang-jin played in 27 games during the 2024-2025 season, averaging 10 minutes and 21 seconds on the court. He recorded 2.3 points and 1.6 assists.
Many players also announced their retirement. Among them, 13 players decided to retire, including Kim Jin-yong and Lee Won-dae (both from Samsung), Ham Jun-hu (Sono), Park Jun-hyung and Jang Tae-bin (both from LG), Song Chang-yong (Jeonggwanjang), Lee Ho-jun (KT), Kim Dong-ryang, Jo Sang-yeol, Kim Cheol-wook, Kim Jin-mo (Korea Gas Corporation), and Kim Hyun-min (Hyundai Mobis).
Lee Jong-hyun signed a one-year contract with Jeonggwanjang and sealed the deal with a total aggregates amount of 100 million won, then announced his retirement for overseas advancement. According to the regulations, a contract with the original team is required for overseas advancement. Lee Jong-hyun intends to attempt overseas advancement after consulting with Jeonggwanjang.
The remaining 10 players have not signed contracts.
