Soccer fans of Los Angeles (LA) FC participated in an 'anti-Trump' protest.

According to the British 'Daily Mail' on the 9th, prior to the kickoff of the Major League Soccer (MLS) match between LA FC and Sporting Kansas City at LA BMO Stadium, a large banner reading 'Abolish ICE' was displayed.

This is a voice opposing President Donald Trump's hardline policies on illegal immigration and deportation. Intense protests against these immigration policies by President Trump have been ongoing in downtown LA.

The LA club did not officially endorse the message. However, the club stated, 'The true strength of our community comes from the people and cultures that make up this beautiful and diverse city,' expressing solidarity with the protesters.

It also added, 'At a time when many are feeling fear and uncertainty, LAFC will stand shoulder to shoulder with community members,' opposing Trump's immigration policies.

LA is a city where various races and immigrant communities come together. The LA club, based here, has a fanbase composed of immigrants, ethnic minorities, and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

President Trump deployed a total of 300 National Guard personnel to three major areas of LA to suppress the protests. Tear gas and flashbangs were fired at the protesters, and a journalist covering the scene was hit by non-lethal munitions.

Meanwhile, on that day, the LA club defeated Kansas City 3-1. LA conceded the first goal to Dejan Joveljic in the 39th minute of the first half. However, LA equalized with a goal from Eddie Segura in stoppage time of the first half, then scored the winning goal with a shot from Deni Bouanga in the 14th minute of the second half and a sealing goal from Olivier Giroud in stoppage time.
