Kim Seo-hyeon of the Hanwha Eagles topped the 1st place in the All-Star fan vote interim tally.
The KBO announced on the 9th, "As a result of the 1st interim tally of the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO All-Star Game 'Best 12' fan votes, Hanwha's Kim Seo-hyeon ranked first among the candidates for the sharing all-star closer category."
Kim Seo-hyeon, as of 5 p.m. on the 8th, received a total of 694,511 votes from three channels (KBO website, KBO app, Shinhan SOL Bank app) in the 1st interim tally, making him the highest among all candidates. This translates to a voting rate of about 50.6% out of the total 1,372,012 votes. Having been nominated for the first time as a Best 12 candidate in the All-Star Game, Kim Seo-hyeon aims to participate in his first All-Star Game as well.
The second-highest vote-getter in the 1st interim tally was Yoon Dong-hee, who received 658,984 votes in the dream all-star outfielder category. Yoon Dong-hee, who was named to the Best 12 last year, is aiming for his second All-Star Game appearance following last season.
In the dream all-star category, Samsung and Lotte are showing strong performance. Samsung has six players leading in various categories: Won Tae-in in the starting pitcher category, Kang Min-ho in the catcher category, Díaz in the first baseman category, Ryu Ji-hyuk in the second baseman category, and outfielders Koo Ja-wook (2nd outfielder) and Kim Ji-chan (3rd outfielder). The fan voting to select the Best 12 for the 2025 KBO All-Star Game will be ongoing until 2 p.m. on June 22, and the results of the 2nd interim tally will be announced on the 16th. The final Best 12 list, which combines the fan votes (70%) and player votes (30%), is scheduled to be announced on the 23rd.
