SSG Landers broke free from a three-game losing streak with a total bullpen effort. They avoided a series sweep.

On the 8th, SSG secured a narrow 3-2 victory against the KT Wiz in the regular season of the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League at Suwon KT Wiz Park. In the bottom of the 2nd, KT retaliated. After two outs, Jang Jin-hyuk hit an infield single to second base, and Kwon Dong-jin drew a walk to create a two-out opportunity with runners on first and second. Jo Dae-hyun then hit a timely single to right field, bringing in one run. Jo Dae-hyun made up for the previous passed ball.

However, in the 5th inning with one out and no runner on base, Seok Jeong-woo hit a solo home run over the left-center field wall off Cuevas. It was Seok Jeong-woo's first home run of his career. Following that, Choi Ji-hoon's hit by pitch and Choi Jeong's walk created a two-out, first-and-second base chance, but they could not add more runs.

KT also closed the gap in the bottom of the 6th inning. With two outs and no runner on base, Kim Sang-su hit a solo home run off Lee Ro-eun, making it a 2-3 contest again.

However, SSG's substitute starter Park Gi-ho pitched well, going 2⅔ innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 walks, 1 strikeout, and 1 run, before the bullpen delivered near flawless pitching. Park Si-hu (1 inning, 1 hit, 1 strikeout, no runs), Choi Min-jun (1⅓ innings, no runs), Lee Ro-eun (1 inning, 1 run), Kim Min (1 inning, 3 strikeouts, no runs), No Gyeong-eun (1 inning, no runs), and closer Jo Byeong-hyeon in the 9th maintained the lead by one run, completing the escape from the losing streak.

In the 9th, SSG's closer Jo Byeong-hyeon secured two outs, and KT sent in pinch hitter Ahn Hyeon-min. However, Jo Byeong-hyeon threw a 153 km/h fastball for a looking strikeout, sealing the victory. It was a power-on-power showdown.
