Professional baseball player Jeon Min-jae of the Lotte Giants exited the game early due to symptoms of a head injury.
On the 7th, Jeon Min-jae started as the fifth shortstop in the season's eighth game against the Doosan Bears at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League, recording no hits in one at-bat before being substituted for Lee Ho-jun in the top of the fourth inning with two outs and no runners on base while leading 5-1.
The reason is symptoms from a head injury. A Lotte official noted, "Jeon Min-jae felt discomfort in the area of his right eye that was previously injured, prompting the substitution. He experienced blurred vision symptoms."
Jeon Min-jae sustained a right anterior chamber hemorrhage after being hit in the head by a sinking fastball from Kiwoom pitcher Yang Ji-yul in a game against the Kiwoom Heroes at the end of April, and he underwent a recovery period after being removed from the first team. He returned to the first team in mid-last month and had been performing normally for over three weeks before experiencing symptoms again, resulting in an early substitution during the game.
A Lotte official added, "There are no hospital examination plans yet."
