Kim Min-jae (28, Bayern Munich) is once again at the center of the transfer market. Reports indicate that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has included Kim Min-jae on their list while preparing to strengthen their defense.

Lequipe noted on the 4th (Korean time) that "Bayern is preparing for the possibility that Kim Min-jae may request a transfer in the future," adding that "PSG's Director General Luis Campos does not consider Kim Min-jae a top target, but he is still included among alternative defender candidates."

Lequipe highlighted the possibility of a defensive overhaul at PSG this summer. With key defender Marquinhos having achieved his personal career goal of winning the UEFA Champions League, there is a likelihood that he may leave the team this summer. Should Marquinhos depart, PSG will need to find immediate replacement resources, and Kim Min-jae is seen as a resource that could attract attention in that transitional context.

Kim Min-jae had an outstanding performance last season, participating in 43 official matches and scoring 3 goals. Beyond his performance in matches, he dedicated everything for Bayern.

Although he has suffered from injuries since October of last year, he voluntarily "overexerted" himself due to a shortage of defenders. In fact, he has logged an impressive 3,595 minutes, with 2,289 minutes in the Bundesliga, 232 minutes in the DFB Pokal, and 1,074 minutes in the UEFA Champions League (UCL).

However, Bayern Munich seems to respond to his "dedication" with a mood of "selling".

Culture PSG stated, "Kim Min-jae is classified as one of the fallback options among the defensive resources under consideration by PSG," while also noting that "since he is not a primary target for defensive reinforcement, it is difficult to say that a transfer will necessarily lead to Paris."

In fact, Kim Min-jae has shown signs of a changing position within Bayern over the past few weeks. His playing time sharply decreased toward the end of the season.

In the UCL quarterfinals, he was excluded from the starting lineup following a blunder. Some local German media have reported that Kim Min-jae is simultaneously facing psychological burdens and external pressures, and the possibility of a transfer has been consistently discussed in this regard.

However, given the ongoing uncertainty regarding PSG's recruitment priorities, it remains to be seen whether Kim Min-jae will actually push for a transfer.

Currently, Bayern Munich is preparing to reorganize their defensive line, and the decision regarding Kim Min-jae's choice is expected to be tied to the club's future plans.
