Suwon Samsung has ramped up the promotion race by going unbeaten in 11 matches.

On the 1st, Suwon Samsung achieved a 4-1 comeback victory against Bucheon FC 1995 in the 14th round of the Hana Bank K League 2 2025 held at the Suwon World Cup Stadium.

As a result, Suwon recorded 8 wins, 4 draws, and 2 losses (28 points), climbing to second place. They are level on points with third-place Jeonnam Dragons (28 points) but lead on goal difference with 30 goals to 22 goals. Bucheon is in sixth place with 6 wins, 4 draws, and 4 losses (22 points).

Suwon aimed for the first goal early in the match by knocking on Bucheon's door. In the 10th minute of the first half, Lee Gi-jae's shot went straight at the goalkeeper. In the 17th minute, Kim Ji-hyun was tackled in the box, earning a penalty kick. However, the shot by Paulinho, who took the kick, was saved by the goalkeeper, overlapping with Illyuchenko's penalty miss in the previous round against Gimpo.

After surviving the crisis, Bucheon scored the first goal. In the 28th minute of the first half, Lee Sang-hyuk finished off Basani's cross with a header. Suwon injected more weight into its attack by substituting Illyuchenko for Kim Ji-ho in the 32nd minute of the first half.

Suwon brought the match back to level terms. In the 6th minute of the second half, Illyuchenko provided a great one-touch pass, and Kim Ji-hyun, who received it, delivered a sharp cross from the left. Serafim, rushing in from the opposite side, headed it in.

Suwon finally succeeded in scoring a penalty kick. In the 14th minute of the second half, Kim Ji-hyun's shot hit a Bucheon defender's hand, leading to another penalty kick being awarded. This time, Kim Ji-hyun took the kick, cleanly scoring and netting the comeback goal.

Suwon's offensive power showed no signs of slowing down. In the 23rd minute of the second half, Serafim's cross hit Lee Jae-won, resulting in an own goal. Additionally, in the 42nd minute of the second half, Illyuchenko finished off Lee Gi-jae's left-footed cross with his right foot, sealing the victory. The match ended with a commanding 4-1 win for Suwon.

At Cheonan Sports Complex, Cheonan City FC and Incheon United recorded a thrilling 3-3 draw. Consequently, Incheon’s attempt for a ninth consecutive win was thwarted.

It was an exhilarating match. Cheonan took the lead in the 21st minute of the first half with a goal from Woo Jeong-yeon, but just two minutes later, they allowed an equalizer due to a suicidal goal from Ma Sang-hun. Incheon’s offensive power surged as well. In the 44th minute of the first half, Mugosa scored a comeback goal, and in the 12th minute of the second half, Gerso added a goal to extend the lead to 3-1.

However, Cheonan did not give up until the end and equalized again. Lee Jeong-hyeop scored his first goal of the season in the 24th minute of the second half, bringing the game to within one goal, and then they secured a dramatic equalizer with a header in the 5 minutes of added time. The match ended in a draw.

Thanks to this, Cheonan avoided defeat at home and earned a valuable point. They still remain at the bottom with 5 points, but after just 1 win, 1 draw, and 11 losses before this match, it was a day that boosted their confidence. Conversely, Incheon was left disappointed for missing out on a victory they seemed to have secured, but they maintained their solo lead with 35 points (11 wins, 2 draws, 1 loss).
