Al Hilal is showing confidence in signing Bruno Fernandes (30, Manchester United), but manager Ruben Amorim, who is in charge of Manchester United, and local reports are leaning toward 'staying'.

British outlets 'The Telegraph' and 'Sky Sports' reported on the 31st (Korea time) that Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal is close to signing Bruno Fernandes. Al Hilal is said to be engaged in positive discussions with Bruno and reportedly intends to pay about £100 million (approximately 186 billion won) as a transfer fee.

Al Hilal is looking to showcase its presence by signing major stars ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in June. Reports have also added that the club has been actively pursuing targets such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, and manager Simone Inzaghi.

As time went on, Sky Sports offered a different interpretation. The outlet's chief reporter, Kaveh Solhekol, said, "I believe Bruno will stay at Manchester United. Of course, anything can happen in the transfer market, and the window hasn't opened yet. But looking at Ruben Amorim's attitude, the conclusion is clear."

He continued, "Amorim would have expected questions about Bruno from the media. Typically, he would have said, 'He is a Manchester United player with two years left on his contract, and I won’t comment on speculation,' but he did not do that," explaining, "Instead, he hinted at a lot."

According to Solhekol, Bruno seems to have already had a personal conversation with Amorim. He reportedly said, "Bruno told the manager, 'I received an offer like winning a £200 million lottery. But I don't move for money. I love football, and I love Manchester United.'"

Amorim also acknowledged in public that "it seems he wants to stay," while leaving room for uncertainty by adding, "I don’t know exactly." However, Solhekol analyzed that "based on his reaction, it appears Bruno will remain a key figure in Manchester United's rebuilding, and he seems satisfied with that role."

Al Hilal does not have much time. As the Club World Cup schedule approaches, the appointment of a new manager has yet to be finalized. However, considering Amorim's reaction and the internal atmosphere, the likelihood of a transfer for Bruno Fernandes appears low at this time.
