Tottenham Hotspur has launched a major squad overhaul ahead of the summer transfer window. The departures of key players, as well as youth academy players, have also been announced.

Tottenham Hotspur announced the termination of contracts with Fraser Forster, Sergio Reguilón, and Alfie Whiteman through its official channel on the 31st (Korean time), and noted that Timo Werner will leave the team as his loan period at RB Leipzig has expired.

Forster is a veteran goalkeeper who joined Tottenham after leaving Southampton in 2022. He played 13 matches in total this season, including the Europa League group stage, and effectively fulfilled a backup role with 34 matches played.

Reguilón joined Tottenham in 2020 and started in the 2021 Carabao Cup final. He was loaned out to Atlético Madrid, Manchester United, and Brentford, later returning this season to play six more matches. His final record at Tottenham stands at 73 matches and 2 goals.

Youth academy graduate goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman has been on the bench since 2017, making his first-team debut in a Europa League match against Ludogorets in 2020. He contributed to preventing the relegation of his team during two loan spells at Diggersfors in Sweden's top division.

Werner, who joined on loan from Leipzig in January 2024, extended his loan for the entire season and recorded 3 goals in a total of 41 matches. While his attacking points were limited, he made contributions to the team through pressing and defensive participation.

Along with this, Tottenham reiterated previously announced news about Pierre-Emile Højbjerg's permanent transfer to Marseille and Kevin Danso's full acquisition.

From the youth team, players such as Will Andyapan, Archie Baptist, Zazaiah Linton, Maxwell McKnight, Max Robson, and Jayden Williams will leave the team due to contract expirations. Scholarship players Elliott Krasnich and U-18 team members Timilein Adekunle, Dante Oar, and Charlie Warren also departed due to the expiration of their scholarship contracts.

Tottenham expressed, "We deeply thank all the players and their families for their dedication to the academy and the club, and we wish them the best of luck in the future."
