• Led the team to a 1-0 victory against Seoul Design High School, facing 28 batters over 9 innings with 10 strikeouts and throwing 94 pitches.

• First no-hit, no-run achievement since Kim Tae-hyoung of Deoksu High School (now with Kia Tigers) in 2023.

Pitcher Son Min-seo of Jangchung High School achieved the historic no-hit, no-run record in the Seoul Region A game of the second half of the 2025 high school baseball weekend league.

On May 31 (Saturday), Son Min-seo faced 28 batters over 9 innings against Seoul Design High School at the Sinwol Baseball Park during the second half of the 2025 high school baseball weekend league, not allowing a single hit and completely shutting down the opposing lineup, leading the team to a 1-0 victory. He threw a total of 94 pitches, striking out 10 batters, and finished the game without allowing any walks, achieving the rare record of a no-hit, no-run.

Son recorded strikeouts in every inning except the 8th, and in the bottom of the 6th, he allowed one runner to reach base due to a third baseman's error, narrowly missing a perfect game. In this game, he allowed only one hit to the outfield against the Seoul Design High School lineup, showcasing an overwhelming performance. Jangchung High School took the lead in the top of the 6th with a solo home run from the 5th batter, Jang Si-hu, and Son's excellent pitching helped secure the team a valuable win with a final score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, the Korea Baseball Softball Association has limited the maximum number of pitches for pitchers to 105 per day to protect youth players and prevent injuries. However, if a no-hit, no-run or perfect game is in progress, they allow pitches to continue until the record is broken. On this day, Son threw only 94 pitches over 9 innings, demonstrating economical pitching within the limited pitch count.

The Korea Baseball Softball Association (President Yang Hae-young, KBSA) plans to award a special prize to Son Min-seo of Jangchung High School, who achieved the no-hit, no-run record, at a ceremony held after the conclusion of the second half of the weekend league in each respective region.
