Anyang played to a 1-1 draw against Daejeon at home.

FC Anyang faced Daejeon Hana Citizen in Round 17 of the Hana Bank K League 1 2025 on the evening of the 31st at 7 p.m. at Anyang Sports Complex, ending in a 1-1 tie.

As a result, Anyang climbed to 8th place with 21 points (6 wins, 3 draws, 9 losses), while Daejeon failed to advance to the 2nd place with 32 points (9 wins, 5 draws, 4 losses).

Anyang started with a 4-4-2 formation. Motta and Park Jeong-hoon aimed for scoring, while Joo Hyun-woo, Park Jong-hyun, Choi Kyu-hyun, and Eduardo filled the midfield. Thomas, Kim Young-chan, Lee Chang-yong, and Lee Tae-hee established the backline, with Kim Da-sol donning the goalkeeper gloves.

As soon as the match started, Daejeon scored the opening goal. A defensive clearance from the left flank fell to Masa, who fired a shot that found the back of the net.

Immediately after the second half began, Daejeon substituted Choi Geon-joo and Kim Hyun-oh for Jung Jae-hee and Kelvin. Anyang brought on Kang Ji-hun and Mateus in place of Park Jong-hyun and Park Jeong-hoon.

The substitutions proved effective. Anyang equalized the match. In the 7th minute of the second half, Mateus, receiving the ball in front of the box, took an ambitious long-range shot that found the back of the net.

Head coach Yoo Byeong-hoon noted that he shifted from a three-back to a four-back formation during the match, regaining momentum and successfully creating the equalizing goal. In contrast, Daejeon, having seized an early lead, lamented failing to capitalize on additional scoring opportunities. In the second half, Kim Hyun-woo's shot struck the post, highlighting their lack of finishing.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
