SSG Landers manager Lee Sung-yong achieved his 100th victory. The pitching staff avenged the previous day's close loss.

On the 31st, SSG secured a 4-1 victory against the Lotte Giants in the '2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League' at Sajik Stadium in Busan. SSG returned to a .500 winning percentage with 28 wins, 26 losses, and 2 ties. Lotte remained at 31 wins, 24 losses, and 3 ties after another loss following a three-game skid.

Lotte's starting lineup included Jeon Min-jae (shortstop), Yoon Dong-hee (right fielder), Go Seung-min (second baseman), Reyes (left fielder), Jeon Jun-woo (designated hitter), Na Seung-yeop (first baseman), Son Ho-young (third baseman), Yoo Kang-nam (catcher), and Kim Dong-hyeok (center fielder). The starting pitcher was Na Gyun-an.

SSG's starting lineup consisted of Choi Ji-hoon (center fielder), Choi Jun-woo (left fielder), Choi Jung (designated hitter), Han Yoo-seom (right fielder), Go Myeong-jun (first baseman), Park Seong-han (shortstop), Jo Hyung-woo (catcher), Jeong Jun-jae (second baseman), and Kim Chan-hyeong (third baseman). The starting pitcher was Jeon Young-jun.

SSG created opportunities from the first inning. After a hit by Choi Ji-hoon and a fielder's choice by Choi Jun-woo, they had runners on first and second with no outs, but failed to capitalize as Choi Jung popped out to first, Han Yoo-seom hit a ground ball to short, and Go Myeong-jun struck out.

In the second inning, they again created an opportunity with a walk by Jo Hyung-woo after one out. Although Jeong Jun-jae struck out, they extended the inning with a single to right by Kim Chan-hyeong and a walk by Choi Ji-hoon, resulting in bases loaded with two outs. However, Choi Jun-woo struck out to squander the chance.

However, they took the lead first. In the third inning, with two outs and no runners on, Go Myeong-jun hit a solo home run off Na Gyun-an's 147 km/h fastball, marking his sixth home run of the season and giving SSG control of the game.

They added more runs in the fourth inning. Lotte's starting pitcher Na Gyun-an continued to struggle. After one out, walks by Jeong Jun-jae and Kim Chan-hyeong created opportunities. Although Choi Ji-hoon grounded out to first, eliminating the runner at second, they continued the bases-loaded chance with Choi Jun-woo drawing another walk, followed by Choi Jung earning a walk that brought in another run.

In the continued two-out, bases-loaded situation, Han Yoo-seom delivered a two-run hit to center field, extending the lead to 4-0.

SSG's starting pitcher Jeon Young-jun completely shut down Lotte's lineup through the third inning with two outs. After two outs in the third, Lotte had a bases-loaded opportunity with consecutive hits from Kim Dong-hyeok and Jeon Min-jae, along with a walk by Yoon Dong-hee, but Go Seung-min flied out to left, missing the chance. In the bottom of the fourth, trailing 0-4, two outs later, Na Seung-yeop's single and a walk by Son Ho-young created a chance with two outs on first and second. Yoo Kang-nam then hit a timely single to the left side. However, as Yoo Kang-nam hesitated while heading for second base, a rundown ensued, and in the process, the runner on first, Son Ho-young, was tagged out at home, marking a baserunning mistake by Yoo Kang-nam.

Ultimately, this score was Lotte's only run. SSG had more opportunities later but failed to add any runs. However, after Jeon Young-jun, the combination of Park Si-hoo, Noh Kyung, Kim Min, Lee Roh-un, and Jo Byeong-hyeon effectively shut down Lotte's lineup to secure the victory.

Manager Lee Sung-yong, who took office last year, recorded 72 wins last year and 28 wins this year, making him a member of the 100-win manager club.
