After two outs in the third, Lotte had a bases-loaded opportunity with consecutive hits from Kim Dong-hyeok and Jeon Min-jae, along with a walk by Yoon Dong-hee, but Go Seung-min flied out to left, missing the chance. In the bottom of the fourth, trailing 0-4, two outs later, Na Seung-yeop's single and a walk by Son Ho-young created a chance with two outs on first and second. Yoo Kang-nam then hit a timely single to the left side. However, as Yoo Kang-nam hesitated while heading for second base, a rundown ensued, and in the process, the runner on first, Son Ho-young, was tagged out at home, marking a baserunning mistake by Yoo Kang-nam.
Ultimately, this score was Lotte's only run. SSG had more opportunities later but failed to add any runs. However, after Jeon Young-jun, the combination of Park Si-hoo, Noh Kyung, Kim Min, Lee Roh-un, and Jo Byeong-hyeon effectively shut down Lotte's lineup to secure the victory.
