KT successfully achieved a winning streak, showcasing the dominance of starting pitcher Heisus.

The professional baseball team KT Wiz won 3-1 against the KIA Tigers in the 7th game of the season on the 30th at Suwon KT Wiz Park, as part of the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League.

With this victory, KT recorded 29 wins, 3 draws, and 25 losses while marking their second consecutive win. In contrast, KIA's three-game winning streak was halted, and they fell below a .500 winning percentage, with a record of 26 wins, 1 draw, and 27 losses.

The home team KT fielded a starting lineup against KIA's starting pitcher Kim Do-hyun that included Kim Min-hyuk (left fielder), Heo Kyung-min (third baseman), Ahn Hyun-min (designated hitter), Mel Rojas Jr. (right fielder), Moon Sang-chul (first baseman), Kim Sang-su (second baseman), Bae Jeong-dae (center fielder), Kwon Dong-jin (shortstop), and Jo Dae-hyun (catcher). KT extended their lead in the bottom of the fifth inning with a solo home run by Ahn Hyun-min leading off. Ahn Hyun-min correctly hit the 4th pitch from Kim Do-hyun, a fastball of 147 km/h elevated, resulting in a massive home run of 131.8 meters in distance. Following his first career grand slam the day before, he hit another home run for two consecutive days, reaching a total of 9 home runs for the season.

KIA struggled with scoreless opportunities against Heisus. In the top of the first inning, after one out, Yoon Do-hyun started with a double, but Hwang Dae-in struck out swinging, and Choi Hyung-woo grounded out to shortstop. In the top of the fourth inning, after Choi Hyung-woo had a single, Lee Woo-sung faced a fielder's choice, and Jeong Hae-won was forced out on a double play starting from second baseman to shortstop to first. In the top of the sixth, Park Chan-ho got a hit, and Hwang Dae-in walked, generating a one-out, runners on first and second opportunity, but Choi Hyung-woo struck out swinging, and Lee Woo-sung popped out to left field, resulting in another missed chance.

KT also had a chance in the bottom of the sixth with Kwon Dong-jin getting on base with a walk, followed by Jo Dae-hyun's sacrifice bunt and an opposing wild pitch that brought him to third base. However, Kim Min-hyuk hit a short fly out to right field, and Heo Kyung-min grounded out to third to end the inning.

In the top of the eighth inning, KIA retaliated with a solo home run by Yoon Do-hyun after two outs, but the momentum had already shifted to the opposing team.
