Hana Financial Group will hold the Asia Major Golf Tournament 'Hana Bank Invitational' (total prize money 1.3 billion won, winner’s prize of 260 million won) from June 12 to June 15 at 'The Heaven Country Club' in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, co-hosted by the Korea Professional Golf Tour (KPGA) and the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO).

In the 'Hana Bank Invitational,' which aims for the development and growth of golf sports and is entering its 7th year, top players from both Korea and Japan, along with leading Asian players from China, Australia, and Thailand, will participate in intense competitions over four days.

Domestic players include Ham Jeong-woo, who won the GOLFZON-Dorey Open last year and belongs to Hana Financial Group's golf team, as well as Park Sang-hyun, who has 12 wins in the KPGA, and Kim Baek-jun, who is the champion of the 2025 season opening event and currently leads the Genesis points.

Japanese players from JGTO include defending champion Ogiiso Takashi, JGTO points leader Shogenji Tatsunori, and the top-ranked Imaihira Shugo, who has 10 career wins in JGTO.

This tournament will provide various viewing points, including the long duel between Jung Chan-min and Kawamoto Riki, the match between rising stars Kim Baek-jun and Shogenji Tatsunori, and the matchup of past champions Yang Ji-ho and Ogiiso Takashi, as well as a showdown between Hana Financial Group’s ace player Ham Jeong-woo and Kinoshita Ryosuke.

As an Asia Major event, the winner of this tournament will receive a two-year entry right for both the Korea Professional Golf Tour (KPGA) and the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO).

Hana Financial Group increased the total prize money from 1 billion won to 1.3 billion won last year, and the winner's prize from 200 million won to 260 million won, strengthening its position as a major tournament in the domestic tour.

Additionally, Hana Financial Group has decided to provide a 'cut-off support fund' of 700,000 won to players who do not make the cut, along with the total prize money and winner's prize provided to the participating players. Moreover, they will support players in demonstrating their best condition by offering meals, practice areas, shuttles, and interpretation services.

'The Heaven Country Club,' known as 'Korea's Pebble Beach,' is located in Daebu Island, which is surrounded by the sea on three sides, and features the only links golf course in the metropolitan area where all 27 holes provide a view of the sea.

Starting in 2023, the course underwent a massive renovation to replace the turf with familiar zoysia grass for domestic golfers. In particular, last year, the South and West courses used for the tournament were converted from bentgrass to zoysia grass, consistently maintaining optimal course conditions despite the heat.

The South Course's holes 5, 6, and 7, famously referred to as 'Diaco,' present a strong challenge to players and are expected to showcase strategic plays due to their high difficulty.

To propagate ESG values again this year, following last year, Hana Financial Group will carry out various special fundraising campaigns for community coexistence with participating players.

On the official practice day, players from Hana Financial Group and representatives from Asian countries will unite to challenge the 'Successful Hana No Bound Challenge Season 2'. This challenge will involve defending champion Ogiiso Takashi passing the ball to each participating player without a bounce, and if successful, 10 million won will be donated in the names of the participating players.

Furthermore, Hana Financial Group plans to raise a donation amount of 26 million won using a 'matching grant method', where an amount equal to 1% (1.3 million won) of the total prize money of the participating players will be donated.

In addition, during this tournament, holes 1 and 11 were designated as 'Everybody (Every Birdie)' holes, accumulating donations of 110,000 won for each birdie and 1,110,000 won for each eagle, with a goal of raising up to 20 million won (maximum of 10 million won per hole). This year, hole 18 will be designated as 'Hana Byeol-dori Zone,' utilizing the group’s representative character, with an additional 1,110,000 won being added each time a tee shot is successfully played, with a maximum of 200 million won.

Through the matching grant, Everybody Zone, Hana Byeol-dori Zone, and Successful Hana No Bound Challenge Season 2 donation campaigns, Hana Financial Group plans to accumulate up to 256 million won in donations to support vulnerable employment groups in Ansan.
