I forgot the defeat. The Samsung Lions are making a whistle for five consecutive wins. Samsung won 4-3 in an away game against the LG Twins at Jamsil Stadium on the 30th. This marks their fifth consecutive win since the match against the KIA Tigers on the 24th.

Samsung's lineup was composed of center fielder Kim Ji-chan, right fielder Kim Sung-yoon, left fielder Gu Ja-wook, first baseman Lewin Diaz, catcher Kim Jae-sung, second baseman Ryu Ji-hyuk, shortstop Lee Jae-hyun, third baseman Kim Young-ung, and designated hitter Kim Tae-hoon. Left-hander Lee Seung-hyun was the starting pitcher.

LG, featuring foreign pitcher Eliezer Hernandez as the starting pitcher, formed their lineup with center fielder Park Hae-min, left fielder Kim Hyun-soo, first baseman Austin Dean, designated hitter Moon Bo-gyeong, catcher Park Dong-won, shortstop Oh Ji-hwan, third baseman Gu Bon-hyeok, right fielder Song Chan-ui, and second baseman Shin Min-jae.

The first score went to Samsung. In the third inning, lead-off hitter Lee Jae-hyun drew a walk, and Kim Tae-hoon's infield single, combined with a defensive error, created a chance with runners on second and third with one out. Kim Ji-chan's sacrifice fly to right field easily brought in the first run.

LG quickly retaliated. In the bottom of the third inning, after one out, Shin Min-jae's single, Park Hae-min's double, and Kim Hyun-soo's walk set up a bases-loaded opportunity. Austin Dean's sacrifice fly to left field tied the game at 1-1.

In the seventh inning, tied at 1-1, Samsung attacked. Lead-off hitter Lee Jae-hyun drew a walk. Kim Young-ung successfully executed a surprise bunt. With no outs and runners on first and second, Yang Do-geun replaced Kim Tae-hoon and successfully earned a walk, loading the bases with no outs. Kim Ji-chan, who scored the initial point earlier, recorded a two-RBI sacrifice fly once again.

Samsung, needing additional runs, created a situation with runners on second and third with one out in the eighth inning after Lewin Diaz and Kang Min-ho drew consecutive walks, followed by Ryu Ji-hyuk's sacrifice bunt. Lee Jae-hyun was retired on an infield pop-up, but Kim Young-ung drew a walk, filling the bases with runners. Yang Do-geun hit a two-RBI clutch hit to seal the game.

LG had a bases-loaded opportunity in the bottom of the ninth inning with one out. Shin Min-jae's two-RBI clutch hit closed the gap to one run.

Left-hander Lee Seung-hyun of Samsung pitched well, throwing 5⅓ innings, allowing four hits, three walks, striking out four, and allowing one run. Kim Ji-chan and Yang Do-geun each recorded two RBIs. Kim Sung-yoon achieved multi-hit status.

LG's starter Eliezer Hernandez, back on the mound after a right thigh injury for 45 days, showcased a strong performance, pitching six innings, allowing six hits, one walk, striking out four, and allowing one unearned run. Oh Ji-hwan and Shin Min-jae each recorded two hits, but it was overshadowed by the team's loss.
