Heo Yul (24, Ulsan Hyundai) received after-the-fact disciplinary action for using his elbow in a foul against Gwangju.
The Korea Football Association held its second disciplinary committee meeting on the 30th and imposed a two-game suspension on Heo Yul of Ulsan.
On the 28th, during the second half of added time in the K League 1 Round 16 match between Gwangju and Ulsan, Heo Yul swung his elbow, striking the opponent's face during a contest for the ball. The referee at the time issued a warning to Heo Yul.
Subsequently, the Korea Football Association's Referee Committee determined during a professional evaluation panel meeting that Heo Yul's foul was a violent act that exceeded the limits of fair competition and constituted a send-off foul.
The association's disciplinary committee decided to impose a two-game suspension on Heo Yul, taking into account the assessment results of the Korea Football Association's Referee Committee and the opinions of the association's Technical Committee.
The suspension will take effect starting with the match against Jeonbuk on the 31st.
