The home stadium of Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC, Jeonju World Cup Stadium, will be filled.
Jeonbuk Hyundai set a record for the first sell-out in the club's history ahead of the 'Hyundai Derby' scheduled for 7 p.m. on the 31st at Jeonju Stadium.
Jeonbuk Hyundai announced that as of 12 p.m. on the 29th, all available seats for the match, totaling 32,560 (including season tickets), have been sold out.
After the remodeling of the spectator area in Jeonju Stadium in 2022, the total number of seats is 34,207, but excluding non-sale seats such as restricted view and disabled seating, there are about 32,000 seats.
Ticket sales for the match, which started on the 26th, saw the entire first floor sell out early within a day.
Currently, general sales have surpassed about 27,000 seats, and considering season ticket holders, about 32,000 spectators are expected to attend the match.
The most recent K League attendance record of 30,410 at Jeonju Stadium was recorded in May 2015 during a match against Suwon Samsung.
Since the K League audience count began in 2012, Jeonbuk Hyundai's highest home attendance in the K League was during a match against FC Seoul on Nov. 6, 2016, when 33,706 fans visited Jeonju Stadium; however, the stadium had about 42,000 seats at that time and did not achieve a sell-out.
Thanks to the support of fans, the Jeonbuk Hyundai squad is expected to perform well.
On the 27th, Jeonbuk Hyundai defeated Daegu 4-0, reclaiming first place in the league, while recording the most goals and fewest conceded, showing a strong upward trend in various indicators.
Since the match against Pohang on March 16, Jeonbuk Hyundai has forgotten how to lose for two months, showing an undefeated streak of 12 matches in the K League (8 wins, 4 draws) and an official match streak of 14 matches without defeat (10 wins, 4 draws).
To wish for victory on that day, the best star raised by Jeonbuk Hyundai, Lee Jae-sung, who plays in the Bundesliga for Mainz, will visit Jeonju Stadium and hold a fan signing event.
During halftime, the best emotional band, 'Jannabi,' will visit Jeonju Stadium and perform a special performance for 30,000 fans in support of the victory in the 'Hyundai Derby.'
As many fans are expected at the match, the '1994 bus' will be increased to 15 buses, and the Jeonbuk Regional Environmental Agency, Jeonbuk Green Environment Support Center, and Jeonbuk Green Business Council will each provide 5 hydrogen-electric buses to operate free of charge from Jeonju Station and Iksan Station to Jeonju World Cup Stadium.
Fans entering the stadium will receive 30,000 'Real Amino Water' gifts from Lee Seung-woo, and 'Medifil' will sponsor 2,000 units each of their products, sun stick and repair cream, to be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to fans entering.
Meanwhile, the April 'Ceremony of the Month' award will be presented before the match to Kim Jin-kyu, who performed the dinosaur ceremony after scoring in the match against Suwon FC.
