A 'luxury pitching battle' that rivals professional baseball emerged in Hanstar Celebrity Baseball.

On the 26th, two matches of the 19th Hanstar Celebrity Baseball League sponsored by The Kim Law Firm were held at Janghang Baseball Field in Goyang City. The first match featured Cheonhamujeok (Manager Kim Dong-hee) against P.O.M (Manager Park Sun-il), while the second match saw Jomajoma (Director General Jeong Bo-seok) face off against Stars (Manager Gu Byeong-moo).

In the second match between Jomajoma and Stars, Jomajoma won 3-2 after a pitching duel where both teams’ starting pitchers completed 7 innings each. Jomajoma recorded 2 wins, while Stars has 1 win and 2 losses.

The starting pitcher for Jomajoma was young talent Kim Dong-hyun, who is from 'TV Chosun National Singer.' As a 'submarine' pitcher, Kim Dong-hyun allowed 3 hits and 2 earned runs (unearned) while recording 1 walk and 2 strikeouts during 7 innings, achieving victory (2 wins) for the second consecutive game after facing P.O.M on April 21. His '7-inning complete game' is considered a remarkable record that matches a 9-inning complete game in professional baseball and is rarely seen. Unlike in professional baseball where 9 innings are played, the reason for '7-inning complete games' in celebrity baseball and amateur leagues is due to the time-based format. Generally, a new inning cannot start after 2 hours.

Stars’ Lee Gyu-hwang (YouTube 'Kkyuleogi TV') also completed 7 innings and unfortunately became the losing pitcher. The 120 km/h pitcher Lee Gyu-hwang pitched 7 innings, allowing 9 hits and 3 runs (2 earned), with 5 walks and 7 strikeouts. Lee Gyu-hwang won the popularity award for the game.

With this second victory, Jomajoma ranked joint top with Intermission (2 wins) and Cheonhamujeok (2 wins, 1 loss), all having 6 points. Stars is in a tie for 4th place with 1 win and 2 losses.

Earlier, in the match between Cheonhamujeok and P.O.M, the two teams exchanged 19 hits in a slugfest, where Cheonhamujeok pulled ahead of P.O.M with an 18-8 victory, recording 2 wins and 1 loss. P.O.M has 3 losses.

On that day, Cheonhamujeok singer Han Sang-il arrived at the baseball field 30 minutes late, missing the game time (7 p.m.). Cheonhamujeok started their match with a penalty of conceding 3 points to P.O.M for violating the celebrity mandatory participation rule (6 selected). However, they turned the game around with powerful hitting. Han Sang-il is a member of the popular techno dance group 'Noise' from the 1990s. He replaced the designated runner in the 5th inning and recorded 1 hit out of 2 at-bats with 2 RBIs, contributing to the team’s victory and earning the MVP title. On that day, 5 female fans of Han Sang-il drew attention by visiting the baseball field.

Meanwhile, prior to the match between Cheonhamujeok and P.O.M, Hanstar Media’s official reporter, announcer Lee Hae-won, threw the first pitch.
