The country’s most prestigious tournament, the '68th KPGA Championship with A-ONE CC', will be held from the 19th to the 22nd of next month at the A-ONE CC South and West courses in Yangsan, Gyeongnam.
The KPGA Championship, which started in June 1958, is Korea's first professional golf tournament and has been held every year without interruption since its inception. It is the tournament with the longest history in Korea.
The total prize money is 1.6 billion won, with the winner's prize being 320 million won. This is the largest prize pool among single-host events on the KPGA Tour this season. A total of 156 players will participate, and the event will be played in a four-round, 72-hole stroke play format. The tournament winner will receive 1,300 Genesis points and a five-year KPGA Tour seed.
The '68th KPGA Championship with A-ONE CC' will be broadcast live on SBS Golf2, the official broadcaster of the KPGA Tour, with the first and second rounds airing from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for eight hours each, and the third round and final round from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for six hours each. Total viewing time is expected to reach an impressive 28 hours over the four days.
This is the 10th time the 'KPGA Championship' has been held at A-ONE CC. The 'KPGA Championship' has been held at A-ONE CC since 2016. A-ONE CC was named 'Best Tournament Course' by KPGA Tour players in 2022.
