Lee Jung-hoo (27) of the San Francisco Giants extended his hitting streak to six games.

On the 26th (Korea time), Lee Jung-hoo started as the third center fielder in a game against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., recording 1 hit in 4 at-bats. Having recorded hits in six consecutive games, Lee has a batting average of .281 (57 hits in 203 at-bats), with 6 home runs, 31 RBIs, 32 runs, and 3 stolen bases, giving him an OPS of .785 this season.

San Francisco's starting lineup consisted of Mike Yastrzemski (right fielder), Elliot Ramos (left fielder), Lee Jung-hoo (center fielder), Wilmer Flores (designated hitter), Matt Chapman (third baseman), Willy Adames (shortstop), Lamonte Wade Jr. (first baseman), Tyler Fitzgerald (second baseman), and Sam Huff (catcher). Huff hit his second home run of the season.

Starting pitcher Robbie Ray had a stellar performance, going 6 innings with 3 hits allowed, 7 strikeouts, and 1 earned run, earning his 7th win of the season. The bullpen, featuring Randy Rodriguez (1 inning, no earned runs), Tyler Rogers (1 inning, no earned runs), and Ryan Walker (1 inning, 1 earned run), secured the team victory. Walker achieved his 10th save of the season. San Francisco won 3-2.

The Washington lineup included C.J. Abrams (shortstop), Amed Rosario (third baseman), James Wood (designated hitter), Nathaniel Lowe (first baseman), Alex Call (left fielder), Dailyn Lile (right fielder), Riley Adams (catcher), Nasim Nunez (second baseman), and Robert Hassell III (center fielder). Washington's offense managed just 5 scattered hits. Although the hit count was the same as San Francisco's, they lacked concentration.

Starting pitcher Michael Soroka achieved a quality start, going 6 innings with 5 hits allowed (1 home run), 1 walk, 2 strikeouts, and 3 earned runs, but he became the losing pitcher due to a lack of run support from the offense. The bullpen, with Brad Roder (2 innings, no earned runs) and Cole Henry (1 inning, no earned runs), pitched effectively but could not prevent the team's loss.

In the top of the first inning with 2 outs, Lee Jung-hoo came to bat in his first at-bat, facing Soroka's second pitch, a 78.7 mph (126.7 km) slider, but was caught out by left fielder Call's great defensive play. In the second inning, San Francisco scored the first run after Flores was hit by a pitch and Chapman's hit allowed Adames to knock in a run with a groundout.

San Francisco added another run in the third inning when Huff hit a solo home run, followed by a triple from Yastrzemski and a run-scoring single from Ramos. With one out in his next at-bat, Lee faced Soroka's third pitch, a 93.9 mph (151.1 km) fastball, but hit a ground ball to the third baseman.

In the bottom of the third inning, Washington's leadoff hitter Nunez hit a single, and Hassell III advanced him with a groundout, creating a 1 out, 2nd base opportunity. Nunez successfully stole third base, and a wild pitch from Ray allowed him to score a run.

In the top of the sixth inning, Lee Jung-hoo led off and hit a fastball from Soroka at 92.7 mph (149.2 km) for a single. However, Flores hit into a double play, failing to convert this into a run. In the eighth inning, Lee led off again and hit a changeup from Roder at 85.3 mph (137.3 km) for a solid line drive, but it was caught by the center fielder for an out.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Abrams hit a double and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Wood followed with a run-scoring double, narrowing the deficit to one run. However, no further runs were scored.
