'The Son of the Wind' Lee Jung-hoo (San Francisco Giants) did not miss the mistake pitch, succeeding in hitting in five consecutive games.

Lee Jung-hoo started as the third center fielder in the second game of a three-game road series against the Washington Nationals in Major League Baseball 2025, held at Nationals Park in Washington D.C. on the 25th (Korean time), and registered a hit in his second at-bat.

After grounding out to the shortstop in the bottom of the first inning, Lee Jung-hoo appeared as the lead-off hitter in the fourth inning, trailing 0-2, and hit a single. After watching the first pitch from Nationals starter right-hander Jake Irvin go by for a ball, he connected well with the second pitch, an 84.1 mph (135 km/h) changeup that was down the middle, resulting in a single to right field. It was the moment he had hit in five consecutive games, including a multi-hit performance the previous day.

Lee Jung-hoo reached third base after advancing through second following a fielding error by pitcher Irvin during the at-bat of the next batter, Wilmer Flores, but sadly ended the inning at third base as Willy Adames struck out swinging.
