In the third inning, Lee Jung-yong allowed a leadoff batter to reach base due to a throwing error by the shortstop. In three starting appearances in May, he recorded quality starts in all of them, with an earned run average of 1.50 over 18 innings with three earned runs. Lee, who joined Sangmu after winning the Korean Series in the 2023 season, will be discharged on June 17.
Lee Jung-yong is currently pitching as a starter in Sangmu, which allows him to provide rest to the existing starting rotation and potentially serve as a replacement starter upon returning to LG.
