Lee Kang-in (24) of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) missed out again but embraced his seventh personal trophy.

PSG defeated Stade de Reims 3-0 in the final of the 2024-2025 Coupe de France at Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France, on the 25th (Korea time).

With this victory, PSG claimed its 16th French Cup title, widening the gap with Olympique de Marseille, which has won the trophy 10 times, solidifying its position as the team with the most titles in the tournament.

That day, PSG fielded its best lineup. Ousmane Dembélé led the attack, while Barcola and Doue played on the flanks. The midfield was composed of Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, and João Neves, and the defense consisted of Nuno Mendes, William Pacho, Marquinhos, and Achraf Hakimi. The goalkeeper was Matvey Safonov.

Lee Kang-in was named on the bench but did not get the chance to play.

He also could not participate in the final League 1 match against Auxerre on the 18th, marking his second consecutive absence in official matches. The match against Auxerre was the last home game of the season that also featured the League 1 championship ceremony.

Amid ongoing rumors of PSG's release, Lee Kang-in could not participate in the match against Reims but participated in the award ceremony after the game and joyfully lifted the trophy with his teammates. He also donned a Taegukgi around his waist and greeted fans, thoroughly enjoying the victory.

From the early stages, PSG dominated the game. In the 16th minute of the first half, Barcola received a pass from Doue, evaded the defense, and scored the opening goal with a right-footed shot.

A third goal came three minutes later. In the 19th minute of the first half, Barcola received a cutback from Doue and scored the second goal with a shot that changed direction in front of the goal. In the 43rd minute of the first half, Hakimi scored the final goal, converting Barcola's cross with his right foot to seal the victory.

PSG did not exert themselves in the second half and managed the game comfortably. Maintaining a clean sheet until the end, PSG concluded the match with a 3-0 victory, securing the championship.

This season, PSG has claimed the Trophée des Champions (Super Cup), Ligue 1, and now the Coupe de France. Now they only need to win the UEFA Champions League final to challenge for their first-ever quadruple. PSG will face Inter Milan in the UCL final on June 1.

Lee Kang-in has won the Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Super Cup in France for two consecutive seasons. Along with the Copa del Rey title he secured during his time at Valencia in the 2018-2019 season, he has accumulated a total of seven trophies.
