Seoul started with Dukes, Lingard, Jeong Seung-won, Ryu Jae-moon, Hwang Do-yoon, Lucas, Choi Jun, Yazan, Kim Joo-sung, Kim Jin-soo, and Kang Hyun-moo (goalkeeper). On the bench were Jo Young-wook, Jeong Han-min, Moon Seon-min, Kang Seong-jin, Park Jang-han-gyeol, Lee Si-young, Kim Jin-ya, Park Seong-hoon, and Choi Cheol-won.

Suwon FC first sent Ohpkeed, Kim Do-yun, Jang Yoon-ho, Kim Joo-yeob, Seo Jae-min, Noh Kyung-ho, Lee Jae-won, Choi Kyoo-baek, Lee Hyun-yong, Kim Tae-han, and Ahn Jun-soo (goalkeeper) onto the field. Included in the bench were 'the last game’s multi-goal scorer' Anderson, Choi Chi-woong, Jeong Seung-bae, Park Yong-hee, Ruan, Kim Jae-seong, Lee Taek-geun, Hwang In-taek, and Hwang Jae-yoon.

In the 12th minute of the first half, Seoul gave Suwon FC a scare. Jeong Seung-won attempted a ground ball shot, which flew well but was caught by the goalkeeper's fingertips.

Seoul's attack continued. In the 21st minute of the first half, in a scramble in front of the goal, Lucas took a powerful shot from the central area inside the box, aiming for the corner of the right goalpost. Once again, it was thwarted by a super save.

In the 25th minute of the first half, Seoul earned a free kick in a good position. Lee Hyun-yong recklessly blocked Jeong Seung-won, and the referee declared a foul. Kim Jin-soo stepped up as the kicker and took a left-footed shot. However, it hit the defensive wall.

Suwon FC also had a chance for a free kick. In the 27th minute of the first half, Ohpkeed cleverly earned a foul from Choi Jun. However, it ended without any result.

Seoul retaliated. In the 38th minute of the first half, with fewer defenders from Suwon FC, Jeong Seung-won broke through the left flank and looked for a chance to shoot. However, a disappointing ground ball cross was delivered. It seemed to be a cross anticipating a teammate rushing into the area, but no player was there to receive it. Jeong Seung-won expressed great disappointment.

In the 41st minute of the first half, Suwon FC made a substitution. Ohpkeed and Kim Joo-yeob were replaced by Anderson and Ruan.

Seoul finally scored the opening goal. In the 43rd minute, Choi Jun delivered a cross from the right flank, and Lucas soared to head the ball into the net. Lucas scored his second league goal about three months after netting the winning goal in the match against Anyang on Feb. 22 (Seoul won 2-1).

Suwon FC sent Seo Min-jae onto the field, replacing Park Yong-hee during first half stoppage time.

The first half ended with Seoul leading 1-0.

In the 2nd minute of the second half, Seoul had a chance for a second goal. Choi Jun took a shot from the right flank. However, he was slightly pushed during a showdown with the defense and failed to shoot accurately, shaking the side netting.

A critical mistake occurred for Seoul. They conceded a goal. In the 9th minute of the second half, Kang Hyun-moo, the Seoul goalkeeper, attempted to clear the ball after receiving a short pass from a teammate but was dispossessed due to aggressive pressure. The ball was connected to Suwon FC's star striker Anderson, who calmly took a shot after a touch, finding the net.

In the 11th minute of the second half, Seoul substituted the 'opening goal hero' Lucas for Moon Seon-min.

A fierce confrontation unfolded. In the 16th minute of the second half, Hwang Do-yoon and Ruan engaged in a rough tussle, followed by an argument. Seeing this, 'Seoul captain' Lingard also joined in. The players soon made gestures of reconciliation. However, the referee issued warnings to all three players.

The game continued to heat up. In the 18th minute of the second half, Jeong Seung-won fired a cannon-like shot from distance, narrowly missing the goal.

In the 27th minute of the second half, Seoul earned a free kick near the left box. At that time, Suwon FC substituted Jung Yoon-ho for Choi Chi-woong. In a hurry, Choi Chi-woong stepped onto the field before he was fully substituted, then quickly exited again. As the substitution concluded, the referee's whistle signaled the start of Seoul's free kick. The cross did not lead to a goal.

Both teams fought hard until the end of the match to score a decisive goal. However, no additional goals were found from either side.

The match ended 1-1.
