The presidential election day home game time for the Korea Professional Baseball Hanwha Eagles and NC Dinos has been changed.
The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) noted on the 24th, "The starting times for some games in the 2025 KBO League have been changed as follows," indicating that the starting times for the games on June 3 at Daejeon Hanwha Life Eagles Park (Hanwha Eagles vs. KT Wiz) and Changwon NC Park (NC Dinos vs. LG Twins) have been changed from 5 p.m. to 2 p.m.
June 3 is the day of the 21st presidential election. Consequently, it has been designated as a temporary holiday for voting. The KBO adjusted the starting times for five games in the KBO League to 5 p.m. due to the designation of June 3 as a temporary holiday.
However, the National Election Commission requested a change in the game start times to facilitate smooth management of the vote counting in areas near baseball stadiums where the presidential election counting is taking place, resulting in changes to the game times for the two games in Daejeon and Changwon.
The games at Seoul Jamsil Stadium (Doosan Bears vs. KIA Tigers), Incheon SSG Landers Field (SSG Landers vs. Samsung Lions), and Busan Sajik Stadium (Lotte Giants vs. Kiwoom Heroes), where the Election Commission did not make a request, will be held as scheduled at 5 p.m.
