The Boston Red Sox achieved a crushing victory by scoring as many as 13 runs in one inning.

Boston won 19-5 against the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, on the 24th (Korea time).

Up to the top of the 8th inning, Boston was ahead 6-3, but the hitters displayed tremendous striking in the bottom of the 8th. Lead-off batter Sedan Raphaela drew a walk, and Jarren Duran led off with a one-RBI double, opening the lengthy offensive in the 8th. Rafael Devers hit an RBI single, and Abraham Toro managed a hit. Rob Refsnyder launched a three-run homer.

Boston's offense did not stop there. Trevor Story was out on a ground ball to second base, but Carlos Narvaez hit a double, and Nick Sogard also managed a hit. Christian Campbell drew a walk, and with one out and the bases loaded, Raphaela hit a fly ball to center field, but Duran drew a bases-loaded walk, and Devers hit a grand slam.

Even after the grand slam with two outs, Boston's offense continued. Toro hit a double, and Refsnyder hit an RBI single. Following that, Story's double and Narvaez's two-RBI double made it 19-3 before Boston's 8th inning offense finally ended.

Boston's lineup recorded 20 hits and 3 homers that day. Devers shone with 4 hits in 6 at-bats, including 2 homers, 8 RBIs, and 3 runs scored, while Korean player Refsnyder also showcased a hot batting performance with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, including 1 homer, 4 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. Narvaez and Sogard also had 3-hit games.

Boston's hitters showcased such explosive hitting after the injury of star player Alex Bregman, alleviating the disappointment of the injury. Bregman started the game batting third and playing third base, recording 1 hit in 2 at-bats and 1 walk, but he was replaced after feeling tightness in his right thigh following a hit in the 5th.

Major League Baseball's official media, MLB.com, noted, "After Bregman suffered an injury that raised concerns, the Red Sox hitters unleashed an explosive offense in his absence," adding, "The Red Sox are uncertain whether Bregman's injury is minor or serious enough to warrant a 10-day injured list placement."

Bregman said, "I still don't know. I feel like resting for a day would help. I will know more tomorrow after I sleep. So far, I still have strength, and I feel okay." He also expressed gratitude about Devers' impressive grand slam in the 8th, saying, "It's really amazing. Just watching that swing made me feel a little more at ease in the recovery room."

Bregman, who signed a 3-year, $120 million contract with Boston this season, has been performing well as Boston's starting third baseman, recording a batting average of .299 (59 hits in 197 at-bats) with 11 homers, 35 RBIs, 32 runs scored, 1 stolen base, and an OPS of .938 over 51 games.
