The winning team, Tottenham Hotspur, had the most names on the official best XI list from the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). Son Heung-min (33, Tottenham), who missed several matches, was excluded.

The UEFA Europa League officially announced the 'Team of the Season' for the 2024-2025 season on the 23rd (Korea Standard Time). This best XI was selected based on the analysis of all matches by the UEFA Technical Observer Group.

Tottenham, which climbed to the top of the Europa League, had a total of four players included. Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and defenders Pedro Porro and Cristian Romero represented the defense, while forward Dominic Solanke was also included, recognizing the contributions of Tottenham's attack and defense.

Manchester United, which regrettably bowed its head in the final, had midfielders Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro selected. The two players played a key role in the midfield throughout the tournament, leading the team to the final.

Norwegian champions Bodø/Glimt also made a surprising impact. Defender Fredrik André Bjørkan and midfielder Patrick Berg were included in the Europa League best XI, showcasing the competitiveness of Nordic football.

In addition, players from teams that advanced to the upper rounds of the Europa League, such as Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany, Olympique Lyon in France, and Athletic Bilbao in Spain, were evenly represented, shining a light on the season.

UEFA noted with the announcement of this best XI that "the selected players were rigorously evaluated based on various criteria, including skill, tactics, and decisive contributions," adding that it was "the best 11 who illuminated the tournament."

Son Heung-min's name was absent. Although he participated in 10 matches in the tournament and recorded three goals, he could not compete in the higher stages of the tournament due to injury. He also had limited impact when substituted in during the second half of the final.
