Doosan had a tumultuous match ending in a rainout tie against NC.

The Doosan Bears in the Korea Professional Baseball League faced the NC Dinos in the season's fourth game on 23rd at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium, ending the match at 1-1. Heavy rain after the bottom of the 9th inning led to the declaration of a rainout tie. Doosan's record stands at 20 wins, 3 draws, and 27 losses, while NC has 22 wins, 2 draws, and 22 losses.

The home team Doosan faced NC's starting pitcher Logan Allen with a lineup featuring Jung Soo-bin (center fielder), Jake Cave (right fielder), Yang Eui-ji (designated hitter), Yang Seok-hwan (first baseman), Kim Jae-hwan (left fielder), Kim Ki-yeon (catcher), Oh Myung-jin (shortstop), Kang Seung-ho (second baseman), and Lim Jong-seong (third baseman).

In response, NC faced Doosan's starting pitcher Cole Irvin with Han Seok-hyun (center fielder), Kim Joo-won (shortstop), Kwon Hee-dong (left fielder), Park Geon-woo (designated hitter), Kim Hyung-jun (catcher), Choi Jae-hwan (right fielder), Kim Hwi-jip (third baseman), Do Tae-hoon (first baseman), and Kim Han-byeol (second baseman).

Both teams struggled with an alarming number of scoring chances early in the game. In the 1st inning, NC's Kim Joo-won and Kwon Hee-dong earned back-to-back walks with one out; however, Park Geon-woo flew out to right field, and then a double steal attempt saw Kim Joo-won, the runner on third, caught at home. Doosan, with two outs, saw Yang Eui-ji hit a single to left, and Yang Seok-hwan draw a walk, setting up first and second with two outs, but Kim Jae-hwan's well-hit ball went right to the third baseman.

Doosan missed a bases-loaded opportunity in the bottom of the 2nd inning. After two outs, Kang Seung-ho and Lim Jong-seong hit consecutive singles, and Jung Soo-bin walked to fill the bases, but Jake Cave popped out to center field. NC also squandered a 1-out, 1st and 2nd base chance in the 4th with Kwon Hee-dong drawing a walk and Park Geon-woo getting hit by a pitch, but Kim Hyung-jun struck out swinging, and Choi Jae-hwan's hard-hit ball was snagged by shortstop Oh Myung-jin.

Doosan scored the first run in the bottom of the 5th inning. After one out, Jung Soo-bin got an infield hit using his speed, and Jake Cave hit a single to right, placing runners on first and third. Yang Eui-ji broke the scoreless tie with a sacrifice fly to left field.

In the top of the 6th, a bench-clearing incident occurred during NC's offense. With two outs and no runners on base, Park Geon-woo stepped to the plate. With a ball count of 1B-2S, the seventh pitch from Doosan's starting pitcher Cole Irvin, a 149 km/h fastball, headed toward Park Geon-woo's head. Park Geon-woo, avoiding the pitch, immediately approached Cole Irvin expressing strong discontent. As catcher Kim Ki-yeon quickly restrained Park Geon-woo, players from both teams rushed onto the field, causing a bench-clearing incident.

Earlier, in the 4th inning, Park Geon-woo had suffered considerable pain after being struck in the left side by Cole Irvin's 149 km/h fastball. At that time, he walked to first base without incident, but he couldn't contain his anger when a pitch aimed at his head came in the next at-bat.

Doosan players calmed down the agitated Park Geon-woo. Yang Seok-hwan, who is a close friend of Park Geon-woo, was the first to soothe him, while Park Geon-woo's former coach, Koji Goto, also helped to calm him down. At the same time, Cole Irvin had said something strongly directed at Park Geon-woo, but NC's captain Park Min-woo and Logan intervened to stop Cole Irvin.

Both teams' players returned to their respective dugouts without any major collisions. The confrontation between Park Geon-woo and Cole Irvin continued, with Cole Irvin handling Park Geon-woo by inducing a ground ball to shortstop that ended the inning after a 10-pitch battle.

NC's batting lineup gathered momentum again in the top of the 8th inning. After one out, Kim Han-byeol hit a single to center, and the pinch runner Park Young-bin advanced to second on a passed ball by the opponent. Pinch hitter Park Min-woo's flyout to left field failed to score, but Kim Joo-won drew a walk against the new pitcher Kim Taek-yeon, and Kwon Hee-dong hit a one-run, game-tying single to center off the new pitcher Choi Ji-gang.

After the regular innings, heavy rain poured down at Jamsil Stadium, resulting in a game suspension at 9:50 p.m. After waiting for 30 minutes before the top of the 10th inning, the rain showed no signs of letting up, and ultimately, a rainout tie was declared at 10:21 p.m.

Doosan's starting pitcher Cole Irvin pitched 6 innings, allowing 1 hit, issuing 4 walks, striking out 4 batters, and not allowing any runs on 97 pitches, but the bullpen's struggles prevented him from earning his 6th win of the season. NC's starter Logan also pitched well over 7 innings, allowing 7 hits, 2 walks, striking out 6 batters, and giving up 1 run on 104 pitches, but it didn't lead to a victory.
