The Korea Rugby Association noted on the 23rd that the '54th National Youth Sports Festival' will be held at Namhae Sports Park in Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam, from May 24 to 27.

The event is hosted by the Korea Sports Council, organized by Gyeongsangnam-do, Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education, and Gyeongsangnam-do Sports Council, with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Education, and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation. In rugby, a 15-player team representing 11 cities and provinces will compete in a tournament format over four days.

The under-15 category (12-player teams) will feature 11 teams (Gyeonggi (Siheung G Sports A), Gyeongbuk (Gyeongsan Middle School), Gwangju (Gwangju Mujin Middle School), Daegu (Pyeongri Middle School), Daejeon (Daejeon Gayang Middle School), Busan (Yeongdo Jeil Middle School), Seoul (Seoul Sadaebu Middle School), Incheon (Yeonsu Middle School), Jeonbuk (Iri North Middle School), Chungnam (Cheonan Buseong Middle School), Chungbuk (Cheongju Nam Middle School)) competing for the championship.

The tournament will kick off on the 24th with the opening match between Gwangju (Gwangju Mujin Middle School) and Busan (Yeongdo Jeil Middle School), showcasing intense competition over four days, with the final scheduled for 11 a.m. on the 27th.

Shin Young-bok, president of the Korea Rugby Association, said, "I hope this tournament becomes a stage for promising players who will be responsible for the future of Korean rugby to compete and grow, and I hope this event will be a meaningful time to develop not only physical strength and skills but also teamwork and sportsmanship."

The tournament will be broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of the Korea Rugby Association and SOOP.
