The professional baseball team NC Dinos will return home after two months of wandering.
NC Dinos announced on the 23rd, "We have decided to host a home game against the Hanwha Eagles at Changwon NC Park on May 30, officially confirming the reopening of Changwon NC Park."
Initially, NC had agreed with Ulsan City to use Ulsan Munsoo Baseball Stadium until the end of June, but the NC team noted, "We made this decision after comprehensively considering the local commercial area, KBO League fans, and team operations."
Lee Jin-man, CEO of NC Dinos, said, “Once again, I would like to express my deep condolences to those who have passed away in this incident, and I sincerely apologize to the bereaved families and the injured. We will collaborate with Changwon City and the Changwon Facilities Corporation to ensure that it becomes a baseball stadium where citizens and fans can visit with peace of mind, prioritizing safety. I will repay the many fans who have believed in and waited for NC for a long time with baseball that can warm their hearts and move them.”
Prior to the reopening of Changwon NC Park, which has been closed for two months, NC will change the location of the two-game series against the Lotte Giants in the KBO Futures League, originally scheduled to take place at Masan Baseball Stadium on the 27th and 28th, to Changwon NC Park and prepare for the resumption of first-team games.
Both games will start at 6 p.m.; the game on the 27th will be held without spectators, while the game on the 28th will allow spectators.
