"If it weren't for my mother's dedication..."
The Korean professional baseball team Doosan Bears announced on the 21st that they have selected the second protagonist of the fan wish fulfillment project 'Do It For You,' which grants the wish of the 'strongest No. 10 hitter.'
The second protagonist is elementary school teacher Jeong So-young (32). The Doosan Bears will fulfill Jeong's wish of 'creating precious memories with her mother on the ground of Jamsil Baseball Stadium' before the game against SSG Landers on the 22nd.
Growing up in a single-parent household, Jeong will make a meaningful ceremonial pitch and hit with her beloved mother at Jamsil Baseball Stadium. Her mother, having started her studies late while supporting her siblings alone, has become a senior in high school this year. Jeong has become an elementary school teacher thanks to her mother's dedication and is helping her mother with college admissions.
Jeong said, "If it weren't for my mother's dedication, I would not be who I am today," and expressed her happiness, stating, "I am glad I can create precious memories with my beloved mother in this month dedicated to family."
The Doosan Bears added, "This year, we plan to listen to both big and small wishes from our fans, increasing the opportunities for interaction between the team and fans, and actively reaching out to our fans."
