The LA Dodgers have fallen into a three-game losing streak. Kim Hye-sung remained on the bench throughout the game.

The Dodgers faced off against the LA Angels on the 19th (Korean time) at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

The Dodgers lined up with designated hitter Shohei Ohtani, shortstop Mookie Betts, catcher Will Smith, first baseman Freddie Freeman, right fielder Andy Pahles, center fielder Tommy Edman, third baseman Kiké Hernández, left fielder Michael Conforto, and second baseman Miguel Rojas. The starting pitcher was Tony Gonsolin.

The Dodgers called up Tommy Edman and released Chris Taylor. American sports media outlet ESPN noted, "This decision is seen as a move suggesting that Korean infielder Kim Hye-sung will remain in Major League Baseball as Teoscar Hernández is scheduled to return to the big leagues."

The Angels, with Yusei Kikuchi as the starting pitcher, configured their lineup with shortstop Zach Neto, first baseman Nolan Schanuel, third baseman Yoan Moncada, left fielder Taylor Ward, designated hitter Jorge Soler, catcher Travis d'Arnaud, right fielder Matthew Leug, second baseman Luis Renjifo, and center fielder Kyron Paris.

The Angels won the game 6-4. The Angels took the lead first, with Neto’s solo home run in the first inning, followed by Ward’s two-run homer, making it 3-0.

In the third inning, with two outs and runners on first and second, d'Arnaud hit a left-center single, extending the Angels' lead by one more run. The Dodgers retaliated in the fifth inning, with two outs and a runner on second, as Ohtani hit a single to score one run. Afterward, Betts and Smith walked, loading the bases, but they failed to add any more runs.

In the seventh inning, the Dodgers had a scoring chance with a hit by pitch to Conforto and Ohtani’s infield single, putting runners on first and second with two outs. Smith then blasted a three-run homer, tying the game.

Then, in the eighth inning, the Angels retook the lead 5-4 when d'Arnaud hit a solo home run to left field after one out. In the ninth inning, Moncada added one more run with a double play.

Dodgers starter Gonsolin pitched 4 innings, allowing 4 hits (2 home runs), 5 walks, and 3 strikeouts, while giving up 4 runs. Ohtani completed the game with 3 hits, and Smith fought hard, hitting a three-run homer. Angels starter Kikuchi threw 5 ⅔ innings, allowing 3 hits, 4 walks, 7 strikeouts, and 1 run.
