Professional baseball player Park Min-seok (25) of the KT Wiz had the game of his life.

Park Min-seok started as the ninth shortstop in the first game of a doubleheader against LG on the 17th at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. This was his first start of the season.

Park Min-seok, who was drafted by KT in the 41st pick of the 5th round of the 2019 rookie draft, recorded no hits in one at-bat over three games in his debut year. After completing his military service as a public service worker from 2021 to 2022 and returning, he played in 20 games last year, achieving three hits in 14 at-bats (batting average .214), mostly as a pinch runner.

Until last year, he recorded four hits in 19 at-bats over a total of 27 games in the first team, with a batting average of .211. This season, he was promoted to the first team on the 10th and 11th as a special entry for a doubleheader and was officially registered in the first team on the 12th. He played three games as a substitute, managing only one at-bat with no hits.

In his first start of the season, he recorded four hits in five at-bats, one run batted in, and three runs scored. It was his first career run batted in. Although he had four career hits, he exploded for four hits in a single game. KT won the game 12-4.

Park Min-seok struck out in his first at-bat in the second inning but delivered a crucial hit in his second at-bat in the fourth inning. With two outs and a runner on first base, he hit a one-RBI triple splitting the right-center field to extend the score to 3-0, marking his first run batted in as a professional. He later scored on a timely hit by Hwang Jae-kyun.

Leading 4-2, he led off the sixth inning with a double to the left field line, creating an opportunity. He advanced to third base due to a wild pitch and recorded his second run scored on a sacrifice fly. After one out in the seventh inning, he hit a single to right field. With one out and one runner on first base in the ninth inning, he created another opportunity with a single to left field. Afterward, KT had a series of consecutive hits, including a three-run home run by Ahn Hyun-min, contributing to a big inning with five runs to extend the lead to 12-4.

After the game, Park Min-seok said, "Since I heard I was starting, I approached the game thinking it was 'my last game of life.' I tried to play without regrets and with determination. I wanted to enjoy the game."

He struck out in his first at-bat. Park Min-seok said, "After striking out in my first at-bat, I thought my timing was off on hitting the fastball. From then on, I aimed to hit the pitches that came into the zone aggressively, which led to my four hits."

Park Min-seok stated, "The Future League coaches tell me not to worry too much about results. The Future League seems to be a place where I can fail freely. I have been preparing for first-team play by trying various things," adding that he discussed hitting with Future League manager Kim Tae-kyun and coaches Lee Seong-yeol and Yoo Han-jun. "I have advantages in base running, so I was encouraged to utilize my speed on the bases and find my personal hitting style. Thanks to their guidance, it seems I was able to show the good performance I imagined today."

After the game, Manager Lee Kang-cheol praised Park Min-seok for his outstanding performance, stating he recorded a personal best of four hits in a single game.
