There was nothing impossible for Head Coach Jeon Hee-cheol.
Seoul SK defeated Changwon LG 54-51 in Game 6 of the 2024-25 KCC Professional Basketball Championship held at the Changwon Gymnasium on the 15th. After three consecutive losses, SK went on to win three straight games, tying the series. The final Game 7 will determine the winner on the 17th in Seoul.
After the game, Jeon Hee-cheol, the SK head coach, said, “I am so happy. It rained during the third game, and the shots didn’t go in. We played poorly and lost lethargically. It rained today as well, which made me feel uneasy. Both teams played desperately. It was a muddy fight,” he laughed.
There has never been a case of a reverse sweep in KBL history. If SK wins, it will be the first. Jeon Hee-cheol explained, “There has never been such a case, but I am confident that the competition with LG is 50%. The fourth game was the turning point. The players found their confidence from the fourth game.”
Head Coach Jeon Hee-cheol has previously started a championship series with two losses while serving as a coach in 2018, and went on to win. At that time, the statistical probability was 0%, creating a case that had never existed.
Jeon Hee-cheol said, “The statistics show the seventh game is still at 0%, but we will challenge it. We have laid the groundwork. To wear the championship ring, I will believe in the players and do well at home.”
