Carlo Ancelotti (66), who has taken the helm of the Brazil national team, calls upon his former pupil from his time at AC Milan.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) officially appointed Ancelotti, who is from Italy, as the head coach of the national team on the 13th (Korean time). Ancelotti is expected to lead the national team through the 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup.

According to 'CNN Brazil' on the 14th, Ancelotti has already begun assembling a coaching staff composed of individuals from Brazil. Among them, the first target is Kaká (43), who played for both the Brazil national team and AC Milan. Ancelotti has personally reached out to Kaká.

Ancelotti and Kaká were the top partners during their time at Milan. Ancelotti managed Milan from November 2001 to May 2009. Kaká joined Milan from São Paulo (Brazil) in 2003 and played a key role as an attacking midfielder.

In particular, Ancelotti and Kaká collaborated to win the Serie A title in the 2003-2004 season and the UEFA Champions League in the 2006-2007 season. Kaká was also alongside Ancelotti when he won the Ballon d'Or in 2007. The two reunited in 2013 at Real Madrid.

Upon Ancelotti's confirmation as the head of the Brazil national team, Kaká expressed his delight on social media (SNA) with a post saying, "Welcome, Mister!".

Ancelotti's official debut match as head coach of the Brazil national team is expected to be against Ecuador on June 6. A match against Paraguay is also scheduled for the 11th. Both of these matches are part of the South American qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

It is still uncertain whether Kaká will actually join the coaching staff. However, if Kaká, who witnessed Brazil's victory at the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup, comes on board, it will be a symbolic reunion for both Ancelotti and the Brazil national team.
