Leading the expansion of community sports... Talent donation at the Cheonan Hong Soon-hwan Table Tennis Club.

Talent donation in sports is gaining attention as a way to share expertise and experience with the local community, contributing to the expansion of community sports and the formation of a healthy community. In particular, the participation of elite athletes in talent donation lowers the threshold for sports and creates an opportunity to further spread the social value of sports through communication with citizens.

The Boram Group (Boram Sangjo) amateur table tennis team Boram Hallelujah continued its talent donation activities to activate community sports in Cheonan.

Boram Hallelujah held a talent donation event for table tennis enthusiasts in Cheonan at the Hong Soon-hwan Table Tennis Club in Cheonan on May 10.

Since its establishment in 2016, Boram Hallelujah has carried out activities to promote community table tennis through talent donations and equipment support across the country. Recently, they have been practicing social responsibility through sports, participating in blood donation drives and inviting film personalities for talent donation projects. This event was planned with the aim of promoting the expansion of local sports bases, in line with the Boram Group's philosophy of sharing.

The event was attended by over 10 members of the team and staff, including head coach Seo Young-kyun, who engaged in a total of three hours of rallies with table tennis enthusiasts from Cheonan. The session included warm-up exercises, table tennis skill lessons, technical guidance, and demonstrations of singles matches. Participants received one-on-one tailored feedback to assess and improve their table tennis skills.

Participants had the opportunity to assess their skills through practical training and individual coaching, reaffirming their affection for community table tennis. At the end, a commemorative photograph was taken with the team, adding significance to the event.

Boram Hallelujah plans to continuously expand its sports exchanges with Cheonan through this event. In the future, a variety of community-focused social responsibility (ESG) programs aimed at promoting community sports will be introduced.

Seo Young-kyun remarked, "Boram Hallelujah is focused on communicating with the local community and sharing social values through sports, beyond just performance in matches," adding, "I hope table tennis becomes a valuable medium that provides health and vitality to citizens."

Meanwhile, Oh Kwang-hun, the inaugural director general of Boram Hallelujah and the coach of the South Korean women's national team who led the team to a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, recently took office, raising expectations as the team and staff undergo a complete rebuilding.

This year, they are continuing intensive training with the aim of winning the championship in major team competitions. In April, they reinforced their team strength by recruiting national representative player Jang Seong-il, who is currently an up-and-coming talent active on both domestic and international stages.
