Daejeon's Lee Chang-geun won the K League 'Save of the Month by a Doctor' for April in the 2025 season.
The 'Save of the Month by a Doctor,' sponsored by Linktea, is awarded each month to the player who showcases the most impressive saves. The winner is determined by combining 80% fan votes via the K League membership application 'Kick' and 20% votes through the official Linktea mall. The 'Kick' fan voting allows participants to vote once per day for a total of three times during the voting period, while the official Linktea mall voting allows one vote per participant during the voting period. Everyone who participates in the voting through the official Linktea mall receives various prizes, including Linktea official mall reward points.
The April 'Save of the Month' was based on the K League 1 matches from the 7th to the 10th rounds, with candidates being Daejeon's Lee Chang-geun and Anyang's Kim Da-sol.
Lee Chang-geun saved a long-range shot towards the corner of the goal by Lee Dong-jun in the 23rd minute of the second half during the match against Gimcheon in the 9th round, safeguarding Daejeon's goal. Kim Da-sol became a candidate for the Save of the Month in April after consecutively saving a free kick from Yun Bit-garam and a powerful shot from Lee Ji-sol in the 7th minute of the second half against Suwon FC in the 9th round.
The fan voting conducted through 'Kick' and the official Linktea mall took place over three days, from 8th (Thursday) to 10th (Saturday) of this month. According to the weighted voting results, Lee Chang-geun received 58.3 points (5,023 votes), surpassing Kim Da-sol, who received 41.7 points (2,622 votes), to win the 'April Save of the Month.' Lee Chang-geun, selected as the winner, will receive a prize of 1 million won and a trophy. The league has started producing replica trophies with the autograph of this season's Save of the Month winners for donation auctions.
Additionally, Linktea is actively engaged in social contribution activities by continuously donating products to individuals dedicated to the nation, such as soldiers, firefighters, maritime police, and medical personnel.
