Jeon Jinwoo wins K League Player of the Month after scoring four goals

Jeonbuk Hyundai's Jeon Jinwoo (26) won the April 2025 'EA SPORTS Player Of The Month,' sponsored by Electronic Arts.

'EA SPORTS Player Of The Month' is awarded to the players selected as MOM (Man of the Match), Best Eleven, and MVP in K League 1 matches held over a month, with the candidates chosen through a vote by the TSG Technical Committee (60%). Subsequently, fan voting (25%) through the K League official website and EA SPORTS™ FC Online user voting (15%) are conducted for the candidates selected by the TSG Technical Committee, and the player with the highest combined score wins the 'Player Of The Month' award.

This year's April Player Of The Month was based on performance across four matches from the 7th to the 10th rounds of K League 1. Candidates included Mota (Anyang), Oberdan (Pohang), Jeon Jinwoo (Jeonbuk), and Jumin-kyu (Daejeon), with Jeon Jinwoo achieving first place in both the TSG vote and among K League fans and FC Online votes, ultimately securing the April Player Of The Month award.

Jeon Jinwoo opened the scoring in the 7th round against Daejeon, leading his team to a 2-0 victory, scored multiple goals in the 9th round against Daegu to drive a 3-1 win, and netted the winning goal in the 10th round against Suwon FC, contributing to a 2-1 victory. He also received the MVP award consecutively in the 9th and 10th rounds.

With this award, Jeon Jinwoo has secured the Player Of The Month honor for the first time since his professional debut. It has been about two years since a Jeonbuk player won the Player Of The Month award, last achieved by Baek Seung-ho in May 2023.

In particular, Jeon Jinwoo has showcased his scoring prowess this season, netting eight goals in all league matches and sharing the top spot in K League 1 scoring. He is expected to receive the Player Of The Month trophy along with a cash prize.
