The 2025 Hana Bank Korea Cup round of 16 will be held on the 14th, with kick-off times at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. All matches will be broadcast through Coupang Play, and the match between Daejeon Hana Citizen and Jeonbuk Hyundai can also be watched on tvN Sports.

The teams participating in the round of 16 include 11 teams from K League 1, 3 teams from K League 2, and 2 teams from K3 League. The 4 teams from K League 1 (Ulsan HD, Gangwon FC, FC Seoul, Pohang Steelers) participating in the AFC Champions League 1 and 2 will join the Korea Cup title competition starting from this round.

The defending champion Pohang Steelers will begin their quest for a second consecutive title with an away match against K League 2 Gimpo FC. Last season's K League 1 champion Ulsan HD will face Incheon United, currently leading K League 2, at the Munsu Football Stadium.

Fans are interested in whether the two K3 League teams that survived through to the round of 16 can continue their underdog run against the Champions League participants. In the last five Korea Cups (up to 2023 FA Cup), Yangju Citizens Football Club (2021) and Busan Transportation Corporation (2022) made it to the quarterfinals while belonging to K3 League.

Last season's K3 champion Siheung Citizens Football Club will make an away trip to Gangwon FC. Siheung advanced to the round of 16 by defeating two higher league teams: Seongnam FC (K League 2) and Hwaseong FC (K League 2) in rounds 2 and 3. Daejeon Korail, who defeated Incheon Seogo SM (K5), Chungbuk Cheongju FC (K League 2), and Namyangju Citizens Football Club (K4) in succession, will host FC Seoul, aiming for their best result since 2019 (runner-up).

Additionally, there will be three matches between K League 1 teams (Daejeon Hana Citizen vs. Jeonbuk Hyundai, FC Anyang vs. Daegu FC, Suwon FC vs. Gwangju FC). Bucheon, who won against Jeju SK in the last round, will face K League 1 Gimcheon Sangmu.

After the round of 16, the draws for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals will be conducted.
