Professional billiards PBA has embraced 'comprehensive food company' Harim Holdings (hereinafter Harim).
The Professional Billiards Association (PBA, President Kim Yeong-soo) announced on the 13th that Harim will establish the tenth team in the PBA team league starting in the 2025-26 season and participate as a title sponsor of the individual tour.
Recently, Harim submitted an application to the association to establish a team and plans to officially join the team league starting with the 'Welcome Savings Bank PBA Team League 2025-26,' which is set to commence in July. Additionally, it is expected to become the main sponsor of one tour of the PBA-LPBA starting in the 2025-26 season.
As Harim joins as the tenth team, the PBA has established a structure of 10 teams for the first time since the launch of the PBA tour in 2019 and after six seasons since the launch of the team league in 2020.
Harim is a representative leader in the domestic food industry. Starting in 1978 in Iksan, North Jeolla Province, it expanded its business in various fields including livestock, feed, shipping, distribution, and food manufacturing, evolving into a comprehensive food group.
According to the principle of priority designations for the founding team, Harim recruited Kim Jun-tae (30, ranked 4th among domestic male amateurs) and Park Jeong-hyun (21, ranked 2nd among domestic female amateurs), along with 'billiards genius' Kim Young-won (17) and 'LPBA champ' Kim Sang-a (37). They also signed foreign players Chen Duc Minh (43) and Nguyen Phuong Linh (31), known as the 'Vietnam duo.'
Harim, which has prioritized the selection of a total of six players, can further strengthen its roster in the draft. The team league draft will take place on the 14th at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.
