Florian Wirtz (22, Bayer Leverkusen) is increasingly likely to wear a Bayern Munich uniform. Now, all that remains is a final agreement between the clubs.

German outlet 'AZ' reported on the 12th (Korean time) that "Florian Wirtz and Bayern Munich have agreed to the transfer. The transfer is expected to take place this summer, with the contract period lasting until 2030 and the annual salary estimated between 20 million and 25 million euros (approximately 31.5 billion to 39.3 billion won)." This is the same level of salary as Jamal Musiala.

According to reports, Wirtz's side and Bayern have virtually agreed on personal terms. The remaining variable is the agreement between his original team, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, and Bayern. Wirtz is under contract until 2027, but Bayern has already made contact with Leverkusen, and negotiations are said to be progressing positively.

Wirtz, born in 2003, plays as an attacking midfielder and primarily operates in the second line of attack based on excellent balance, agile direction changes, and quick feet. He is optimized for modern football as a number 10, showcasing high-efficiency play based on concise yet creative passing and two-footed kicking ability.

He has overcome physical weaknesses with quick judgment and excellent balance, and possesses versatility that allows him to create variables in on-the-ball breakthroughs and set-piece situations.

In the past 2021-2022 season, he suffered a career-threatening injury to his meniscus and ligaments, but he continues to display his outstanding skills after returning. Recently, he has added vigorous activity and competition ability, growing into a playmaker who exerts influence across the pitch.

Wirtz wanted to grow once again. He is positioned to continue competing with a larger team after leaving Leverkusen. 'AZ' mentioned that "optimism prevails within Bayern that negotiations will conclude soon." Currently, Wirtz's market value is estimated to be around 140 million euros (approximately 220.3 billion won).

'AZ' also added that "In addition to Wirtz, Bayern is also interested in acquiring Bayer Leverkusen's central defender Jonathan Tah."

Bayern is expected to embark on a significant squad overhaul this summer. Amidst the Champions League exit and the failure to secure the league title, movements to restructure the team are becoming more pronounced.
