The Lotte team wiped their surprised hearts.

A representative from the Lotte Giants said on the 11th, “Lee Ho-jun received no abnormalities in the hospital RAY and CT examination results.”

Lee Ho-jun started as the eighth shortstop in the doubleheader second game against KT Wiz at Suwon KT Wiz Park that day and was transported to the hospital after being struck by a headshot.

Lee Ho-jun's accident occurred during the top of the fourth inning while trailing 0-1. Lead-off batter Jeon Jun-woo walked on four straight pitches, and Son Ho-young drew a walk to set up two outs with runners on first and second base. Then, Lee Ho-jun came up and was hit hard on the back of the helmet by a 130 km slider from KT's starting pitcher Oh Won-seok. Lee Ho-jun collapsed on the ground, expressing significant pain, and after emergency measures from the medical staff and team trainer, he was urgently transported by ambulance.

A Lotte representative noted, “Lee Ho-jun was hit by a pitch on the back of the head and is being transported to a nearby Hwahae Hospital,” adding that fortunately the examination results showed no serious injuries.

The Lotte representative added, “We will continue to monitor Lee Ho-jun's condition going forward.”
