Professional baseball player Lee Ho-jun of the Lotte Giants was urgently transported to the hospital after being hit by a headshot.

On the 11th, Lee Ho-jun started as the eighth shortstop in the second game of the doubleheader against the KT Wiz at Suwon KT Wiz Park in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League and was injured in the top of the fourth inning.

Lee Ho-jun came to the plate with two outs and runners on first and second in the top of the fourth, trailing 0-1, and was struck hard on the head by a 130 km slider thrown by KT starter Oh Won-seok. Lee Ho-jun collapsed on the ground, expressing considerable pain, and after receiving emergency treatment from trainers and stadium medical staff, he was transported by ambulance to the hospital. KT manager Lee Kang-cheol even came onto the field, showing concern for Lee Ho-jun's injury.

A Lotte official noted, "Lee Ho-jun was hit on the back of the head by a pitch. He is currently being transported to nearby Hwahae Hospital." Lee Ho-jun was replaced by pinch runner Park Seung-wook.

Oh Won-seok was not ejected since it was a headshot from a breaking ball, not a fastball.
