The SSG Landers achieved a delightful sweep victory against the KIA Tigers in a doubleheader.
SSG won both games of the doubleheader against KIA held on the 11th at Incheon SSG Landers Field, winning the first game 8-4 and the second game 5-1. Although SSG lost the first game of the three-match series against KIA, they successfully achieved a winning streak by sweeping the doubleheader.
In the second game, SSG starter Kim Gwang-hyun pitched brilliantly for 7 innings (96 pitches), allowing only 1 hit (1 home run), striking out 7 batters, and giving up 1 run.
Kim Gwang-hyun, who recorded 6 Samjin through the third inning, allowed his only run in the fourth inning with a solo home run by Kim Do-young. He also praised, "In the batting lineup, Hyun-woo's triple in the sixth broke the deadlock in the offense. That momentum allowed us to create a big inning with 5 runs. It was a hit and base running that changed the flow of the game."
Manager Lee expressed his gratitude, saying, "All players worked hard to prepare for the doubleheader, and I especially want to thank those who played in both games."
He concluded, "Finally, thanks to the power of the fans with two consecutive sold-out crowds, we were able to win both games. I appreciate our fans."
