The professional baseball NC Dinos achieved a commanding seven-game winning streak.

NC won the second game of the doubleheader against the Doosan Bears in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 11th, with a score of 5-2.

Starting pitcher Choi Seong-young recorded his second win of the season with 2 earned runs over 5 innings, while Son Ah-seop and Choi Jeong-won each contributed 2 hits and 1 RBI to lead the offense.

Following the 11-5 victory in the first game, NC took both games of the doubleheader and has been on a winning streak of seven games, including one tie since the game against Lotte on the 3rd.

NC's seven-game winning streak became the first since they recorded a winning streak from the first game of the doubleheader against Lotte on Sept. 20, 2020, to their game against Hanwha on Sept. 26, marking 1,688 days since then. At that time, NC pushed on to an eleven-game winning streak and won the regular season championship, ultimately seizing the Korean Series title.

With seven consecutive wins, NC's record improved to 17 wins, 18 losses, and 1 tie, bringing them closer to a .500 winning percentage. In contrast, Doosan, suffering its second consecutive defeat, remains at 16 wins, 22 losses, and 2 ties, unable to move out of 9th place.

Continuing the momentum from the victory in the first game, NC scored first in the second inning with a home run. Lead-off batter Cheon Jae-hwan pulled a slider that was right in the middle from Doosan starter Choi Jun-ho during the third pitch, sending it over the left-field fence. The home run traveled 115 meters, marking his 3rd home run of the season. He has hit 3 home runs in the last 4 games since facing KT on the 7th.

Doosan quickly mounted a counterattack in the bottom of the second inning. Against NC's starter Choi Seong-young, Kim Jae-hwan's hit to left-center, Yang Seok-hwan’s hit to left, and Oh Myung-jin's walk loaded the bases with one out, and Kim Gi-yeon hit a 2-RBI single to right to turn the tables at 2-1.

However, NC reclaimed the lead in the top of the third inning. Lead-off batter Kim Joo-won doubled to right-center, and Son Ah-seop tied the game at 2-2 with an RBI single to left. After Cheon Jae-hwan walked, NC knocked Choi Jun-ho out of the game, setting up a chance at bases loaded and two outs against the new pitcher Hong Min-kyu. Here, Park Se-hyuk delivered a 2-RBI single to right, and Choi Jeong-won added an RBI single to left, extending the score to 5-2.

The pitching staff then maintained a three-run lead to complete the seven-game winning streak. Starting pitcher Choi Seong-young held the line with 5 innings, allowing 5 hits, 1 walk, and 1 hit batter while striking out 3 and giving up 2 earned runs, earning his second win of the season (1 loss). Relief pitchers Kim Nok-won, Kim Jin-ho, Bae Jae-hwan, and Ryu Jin-wook each pitched one scoreless inning, combining for 4 innings of scoreless relief. Ryu Jin-wook recorded his 7th save of the season.

Doosan's starter Choi Jun-ho went 2⅓ innings, allowing 5 hits (1 home run), 2 walks, 1 strikeout, and giving up 4 earned runs, resulting in his second loss of the season (1 win). The second pitcher Hong Min-kyu pitched 3⅔ innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 walk, 1 strikeout, and giving up 1 earned run, making it a strong showing, but the offense did not respond. Yang Seok-hwan had 3 hits but could not prevent the team's defeat.
